NBA Bets: Monday April 11th, 2011

April 11th, 2011

It’s time to give you fans our final NBA picks for the 2010 – 2011 regular season. We are very excited for the postseason, and know they will bring exciting games to the fans. Let’s take a look at a few of our picks for games played on Monday April 11th, 2011 – and don’t forget to check out our featured sportsbooks, especially if you’re looking for additional casinos and poker sites attached as well:

Boston Celtics -7 @ Washington Wizards

The Celtics must win if they want any shot at the #2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Even with a win, the Celtics are in trouble. Many experts have said the Celtics have aged quickly, and the way they are playing; it appears that is true. Washington will have the youth in this game, but we look for the veterans to be able to pick it up when they need to and come away with a win. Boston wins this one by double figures.

Orlando Magic +2 @ Philadelphia 76ers

Two teams heading to the postseason out of the Eastern Conference. Orlando is locked in at the fourth seed, while Philadelphia is still trying to grab the 6th seed away from the Knicks. If the postseason started today, Orlando would host Atlanta, and the 76ers would head to South Beach. The Magic are coming off a close loss to Chicago without Dwight Howard. We like for them to break out in this one and beat the 76ers on the road.

Miami Heat @ Atlanta Hawks -6.5

Two Southeast divisional teams that are both heading to the postseason will get together at the Phillips Arena. The Heat are coming off their big win over the Celtics, while Atlanta has lost four straight games. Look for the Heat to have a bit of a hang over in this one and fall to the Hawks. Atlanta wins this game, making things interesting between Miami and Boston.

Oklahoma City +5.5 @ San Antonio Spurs

Two Western Conference teams looking to win the title away from the Lakers will get together in a postseason warm-up. The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Lakers last night, and look for real heading into the postseason. San Antonio needs the win to stay ahead of the Bulls for the overall #1 seed. Look for the Spurs to win at home, but in a very close game. Oklahoma City covers this game.

Good luck with all your NBA Betting. We cannot wait to give you some winning bets for next week, which will include some excellent postseason games. Who will win the NBA Finals? We will find out in the very near future.

Hoop Bets: Saturday April 2nd, 2011

April 2nd, 2011

What a day! There are just a few games on tap for the National Basketball Association today, due to the NCAA Men’s Final Four. But the games that are on the slate will provide some excellent excitement for fans. Let’s take a look at a few of the games taking place on Saturday April 2nd, 2011 – along with the sports odds on each:

Toronto Raptors @ Chicago Bulls – 13

This is the mismatch of the world. The Toronto Raptors have emerged into one of the worst teams in the National Baskeball Association. Chicago is poised to keep the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. The line for this game is pretty high, but not sure even that will cover it. Chicago means business late in the year, and the Raptors have pretty much thrown in the towel.

We like the Chicago Bulls to beat the Toronto Raptors by nearly 20 points on Saturday. Bet the Bulls!

Minnesota Timberwolves +13 @ Memphis Grizzlies

Minnesota, despite their Western Conference worse record, and their nine game winning streak have kept some games competitive. Memphis is on the verge of sealing a postseason berth, so don’t think for a second that the Grizzlies will lose at home to Minnesota. But, with the youngsters Minnesota has, they will keep it close.

We are betting the Minnesota Timberwolves to compete with the Memphis Grizzlies and cover the 13 points they are given according to odds makers. Bet Minnesota!

Oklahoma City Thunder -4.5 @ Los Angeles Clippers

The last game we like features two more Western Conference foes. Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder will head to the Staples Center to take on Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers. The Thunder are the fourth seed in the Western Conference, and look to keep that reign as they are four games ahead of Denver.

The Clippers have a shot at catching Golden State late in the year, but that will only get them third in the Pacific. We look for Oklahoma City to win this game on the road, which means they will also cover the spread of 4.5. We like the Thunder to beat the Clippers on Saturday.

Good luck with all your NBA Betting. We look forward to giving you some of our favorite picks as the season winds down, all the way into the postseason.

Hoops Picks: Friday March 18th, 2011

March 18th, 2011

With the NCAA tournament going on, the NBA has kind of taken a back seat. But not here! We are still going to igve you some of our top picks for the day.

Charlotte Bobcats @ Oklahoma City Thunder -9.5

The Thunder are coming off their big win over the Heat. Look for Kevin Durant and his teammates to be hungry once again, this time at home. Charlotte is in contention for a postseason spot out of the Eastern Conference, but just don’t have enough fire power to hang with Oklahoma City; especially at home.

San Antonio Spurs @ Dallas Mavericks -2

This is a battle between two of the top teams in the Western Conference, and also in the Southwest Division. The Spurs lost in their last game, and have fallen a little backwards as of late. They still hold the top record in the league. Dallas is looking to make a late season run for the top spot; or at least hold off the Lakers for the #2 spot. Look for Dallas to win this one, but just by a few in this game.

Philadelphia 76ers -5 @ Sacramento Kings

Yes, we know it is very rare to see the 76ers win a road game. But Sacramento is bad, and late in the season will continue to play bad. The 76ers are hungry to catch New York in the postseason race. They are currently tied with the Knicks for the 6th seed. Look for Philadelphia to win this game by double digits.

Good luck with all your NBA bets and don’t forget you can do a ton of NBA betting online by checking out our approved sportsbooks on the right of the website.

Hoops Picks for March 11th

March 11th, 2011

Just a month to go in the NBA season! The playoffs are going to be very interesting, with many storylines. In the Western Conference, the Spurs have been the best team during the regular season, but how do you count out the back-to-back champion Lakers?

The Eastern Conference has three or four teams that feel they can win the whole thing. But the Heat can’t be taken too serious until they show they can beat a good team? Can young Derrick Rose lead Chicago to the title? Let’s take a look at a few of our picks for Friday March 11th, 2011:

Boston Celtics – 2 @ Philadelphia 76ers

Right now, this could be a postseason game in the first round. The Celtics are the top seedi n the Eastern Conference, but are falling close to dropping to #2. If they do that, they will take on the 76ers. Philadelphia is right behind New York for sixth place. In this game, the 76ers will keep it close at home, but look for the Celtics big stars to come through late. We are taking Boston -2.

Sacramento Kings +11.5 @ San Antonio Spurs

The Sacramento Kings haven’t been very good this year, which makes it hard to pick them in this one. Especially against the top team in the league. But, we feel Sacramento is going to play well, and keep this game close. The Kings will not win this game, but they will cover the double digit spread. Look for this to be a single digit result. We are picking the Sacramento Kings +11.5.

Orlando Magic @ Golden State Warriors +4.5

The Orlando Magic have a tough time winning away from home. Monta Ellis and his Warriors are on a mission to get back to .500 for the season. If they are going to do that, they are going to have to beat teams that are better than they are. This is one of them. The Warriors pull an upset at home in this one. Take the Golden State Warriors +4.5 over the Orlando Magic on Friday night.

Good luck with all your NBA betting!

NBA Bets: Sunday February 27th, 2011

February 27th, 2011

The National Basketball Association is on the last 1/3rd of the season. The postseason picture is started to shape up in both the Eastern and Western Conference, and they are preparing for some exciting playoff games. Here are some of our featured picks – and don’t forget to check out our recommended sportsbooks for the best in NBA betting online everyone.

Los Angeles Lakers @ Oklahoma City Thunder -1

This is a great game between two divisional leaders in the Western Conference. The back-to-back defending champion Los Angeles Lakers will head out to Oklahoma City. The Lakers, led  by Kobe Bryant have been up and down all season long. Oklahoma City is led by the NBA’s leading scorer Kevin Durant. We like the home team to come away with a big win. Oklahoma City -1 over Los Angeles Lakers.

Charlotte Bobcats +10 Orlando Magic

The Charlotte Bobcats are just 1/2 game behind the Indiana Pacers for the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference postseason. Charlotte has won two straight games including a 12 point win over Sacramento on Friday night. The Bobcats have been fortunate for the great scoring prowess of Stephen Jackson and his 20 points per game. Orlando is in second place in the Southeast Division and the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. The Magic are looking to make up some group on Miami, as they come in six games back. We like Orlando to win this game, but in tight fashion. We are taking Charlotte +10 on Sunday!

New York Knicks @ Miami Heat -9.5

The game many people have been talking about this week. Carmelo Anthony has teamed up with Amare Stoudemire, just like LeBron James teamed up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. This game is played in South Beach, so we expect the Heat to come away with a blow-out win. This game may be close for a while, but a double digit win for the Heat is pretty likely. Miami -9.5 is our pick.

Hoops Picks: Wednesday February 16th, 2011

February 16th, 2011

We are going to give you some picks for the final full slate of games in the NBA before the All Star game. The big game is this weekend, and features the best players in the league. The schedule of tonight’s games look good. Here are the games we like:

Miami Heat -9 @ Toronto Raptors

This game will not even be close. The Miami Heat are not happy coming off their loss. Toronto has gotten worse as the season has moved along. Look for the Heat to be leading by double digits early and not look back. The Heat win this game by 20+. Take the Miami Heat -9 @ Toronto, and bet with confidence!

Atlanta Hawks @ New York Knicks -2.5

The Knicks are lucky this game is going to be played at Madison Square Garden. If not, Atlanta would be a big favorite in this game. The Knicks struggle on the road, but have found ways to win at home. The Hawks are battling with Orlando for second place in the Southeast, while the Knicks are firmly entrenched as the 6th seed in the East. Atlanta won both meetings this season, including a win in November in the Big Apple. Look for Amare Stoudemire to be too much in this affair. New York wins this game by 4. Take New York -2.5 over the Atlanta Hawks tonight!

Golden State Warriors +5 @ Utah Jazz

Something smelled like rotten eggs after Jerry Sloan just abruptly left the Utah Jazz. Look for that smell to linger tonight, especially after the Warriors beat them in Salt Lake City. The Warriors are playing better basketball, and looking to climb back towards the .500 mark. Utah just can’t seem to find a groove. The Warriors have beaten Utah two out of three this season. Look for this game to be very close, but the upstart Warriors to win late. Golden State +5 @ Utah is our pick!

Good luck with all your NBA bets. Enjoy the All Star Weekend!

NBA Picks: Thursday February 10th, 2011

February 10th, 2011

Let’s talk some hoops for Thursday night. The Cavaliers continue to suck, the Spurs are dominating the league, and Utah no longer has their hall-of-fame coach. Let’s take a look at some of the best bets for Thursday night”

Los Angeles Lakers @ Boston Celtics -2.5

The two teams in last years NBA finals will get together at the TD Garden on Thursday. The Lakers and the Celtics get together in a re-match of a Celtics win from two weeks ago. The Lakers are looking for their third straight win, while the Celtics are looking to pick up a win after losing last time out. The Lakers have been one of the best teams on the road this season, while the Celtics are very good at home. This game does not come down to Bryant vs. Pierce or any other matchup. The Celtics can play defense, and will shut down Kobe’s teammates. Celtics win and cover -2.5 spread.

Golden State +6 @ Phoenix Suns

Both teams come into the game under .500 on the season. The two teams are second and third place in the Pacific Division. Golden State would love nothing less than to catch the Suns. The Warriors would also love to finish above .500, even if they don’t make the postseason. Look for the Warriors to pick up a big road win in Phoenix, and definitely cover +6.

Dallas Mavericks @ Denver Nuggets -3

The Dallas Mavericks have won ten straight games overall. Dallas has moved into the second best record in the entire Western Conference. Dirk Nowitzki and company have been simply tremendous as of late. Denver is fighting with Utah and Oklahoma City for the top spot in the Northwest Division. The Nuggets have tried to fight through all the Carmelo Anthony drama this season, and in the process are the top scoring team in the league. We like the home team, Denver to snap Dallas’ ten game winning streak. Take Denver -3!

Good luck with all your NBA picks!

NBA picks for Saturday February 5th, 2011

February 5th, 2011

Here are a few of our favorite picks for Saturday February 5th, 2011.

Los Angeles Lakers +4 @ New Orleans Hornets

When it comes down to it, no matter how poorly the Lakers have been playing, they are still the team  to beat in the NBA. Teams like that can pick it up and beat about anyone. Look for that to happen in this game. The defending champions are 4 point underdog, and we look for them to slow down Chris Paul and David West and come away with a win. Lakers +4 is the pick.

Portland Trailblazers -6 @ Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers are just terrible. No matter if they are at home or away, they are bad. The losing streak will continue just one game closer to the all time record. Portland has been playing well, and can win on the road, especially against poor teams. We love Portland to cover the -6 spread in this game. Our money is on the Trailblazers -6.

Chicago @ Golden State Warriors +3.5

Our final pick may come as a bit of a surprise. If you have been following our picks all season long we have been a big supporter of Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls. Despite missing Noah and Boozer for a chunk of the season, the Bulls have been great. In saying that, we like the upstart Warriors to come away with a win in this one. Golden State is an underdog, at +3.5, but we like them to outright win the game on the road over the Bulls. Take Golden State +3.5.

Enjoy our picks. Best of luck with all your NBA picks as the All Star Game approaches!

Hoops Bets – Wednesday February 2nd, 2011

February 2nd, 2011

Indiana Pacers -5.5 over Cleveland Cavaliers

The Indiana Pacers do not want to be “that team” and be the first in 22 games to lose to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Indiana hasn’t been very good on the road, winning just 6 of 22. For Cleveland, one win would be the biggest sigh of relief, as they approach the NBA record. Danny Granger and the Pacers are looking for a playoff spot, and that type of team cannot lose this game. Pacers win by 7 and keep the losing streak alive.

New Orleans Hornets +7 over Oklahoma City Thunder

The New Orleans Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder play for the fourth and final time this season. The Hornets are playing good basketball, winning eight of their last ten games. Oklahoma City sits in first place in their division, and want to keep that safely. Chris Paul vs. Kevin Durant is always exciting and should be again. 7 points for this game is a lot of points. We expect the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the game, but the New Orleans Hornets will cover the +7 spread.

Chicago Bulls -2 over Los Angeles Clippers

The Central Division leading Chicago Bulls will head out to the Staples Center and take on the Clippers. Los Angeles has won 7 straight at home and try to make a surge towards the .500 mark. Derrick Rose against Blake Griffin is a battle worth noting. Look for the Bulls to shoot the ball well and win the game. The home winning streak comes to an end as the Chicago Bulls cover the -2 spread and win by 6.

Good luck with all your NBA picks. We look forward to continuing our picks the entire NBA season!

NBA Picks and Predictions for Saturday January 29th

January 29th, 2011

As January begins to unfold – teams are trying to fight off the injury bug more than they have all season. The top teams continue to rise to the top, such as the Spurs, while the bottom feeders continue to dig themselves further and further in the basement (Cavaliers). There are some solid games on Saturday and we are ready to give you three winners:

Houston Rockets @ San Antonio Spurs -8.5

The battle of Texas will take place in San Antonio. Houston continues to be marred in a disappointing season that has them a few games under .500. Kevin Martin is the leading scorer for Houston, but will surely be stuffed by the Spurs solid defense. San Antonio with Manu Ginobili can put points up, and in a hurry. This game may still close for one half of the game, but overall the Spurs will come away with a double digit win at home. San Antonio covers 8.5 at home!

New Jersey Nets @ Milwaukee Bucks -6.5

The Nets, at 14-32 are going no where fast. At least for Brandon Jennings and the Milwaukee Bucks they have a chance to get into the postseason. Milwaukee is going to need to catch Indiana for second place in the Central Division first. New Jersey is terrible on the road, so Milwaukee comes away with a win. The game will stay close for awhile, like most, but the Bucks win by 8. We are taking Milwaukee -6.5 at home on Saturday.

Charlotte Bobcats @ Los Angeles Clippers -4.5

The Bobcats come into this game with a better record. Charlotte has a shot in the Eastern Conference to slip into the postseason. Unfortunately for them, the Celtics or Heat will be awaiting them. The Clippers are a much better team at home, where Blake Griffin can be a complete man child. The Clippers as a 4.5 point favorite are our pick in this game.

Good luck with all your National Basketball Association picks. We hope to talk about our 3-0 weekend next week!
